Mae Moments

Mae continues to amaze us with how much she is learning and how much she knows.  Her vocabulary continues to grow everyday and she understands way more than we realize.  However, we are learning that as she is learning to communicate better, her sin nature is starting to come out.  This week, she started saying "mine."  When she says it, she means it, so we are trying to teach her how to share.  There are three of staff member kids that are only a little bit older than her, so we are able to use them to teach her this.  She has been saying "thank you" for awhile, but she has just started saying "please"  Although it sounds more like "ple."  Even though she is only 18 months, we are considering starting to potty train her.  She now says "potty," but she says it after she has already gone.  We still put her on the potty, since she has made the connection, but after a few seconds she says she is done without doing anything.  "All done!"  She likes to say this when she is done eating and wants to get down.  Her favorite game is Ring around the Rosey.  Today we tried to teach her Red Light, Green Light.  She seemed to get it after we changed it to Go, Stop.  She loves to sing!  Almost everyday we find her rocking her kitty (or "mow") and singing.  The boys continue to spoil and pick on her and she loves when they are home.  They are so good with her!  They are always excited to see her when we go back on the hall.
